Job summary

DCM Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee production of infused edibles, topicals, tinctures, and capsules. You will supervise the kitchen team, manage inventories, ensure compliance with ABCA regulations, and maintain clean, calibrated equipment.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to train staff in a fast-paced cannabis manufacturing environment. On-site work five days a week with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• High School degree/GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Kitchen Production including infused products and packaging to ensure quality and compliance.
• Onboard and train new kitchen team members.
• Develop and implement new product varieties and labeling.
• Coordinate schedules with the Assistant General Manager.
• Maintain and audit logs for production, calibration, and quality control.
• Lead a fast-paced, high-production environment and mentor staff.

Kitchen Supervisor

Our Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for supervising Kitchen Production including infused edibles, topicals, tinctures, capsules, and other infused products. They are also responsible for managing the kitchen consumables inventory and overseeing the packaging of products. The Supervisor will ensure the kitchen department is compliant with company and industry standards.

Your role in caring for our products

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise and train all Kitchen team members in the infused product production process (dosing, cooking, dispensing, packaging, QC, and packaging).
• Onboard, and train all new kitchen team members.
• Develop and implement new product varieties.
• Produce and maintain compliant labeling for all MIPs products.
• Operate and train employees on machinery including, but not limited to, candy packaging machines, candy cookers, and candy depositors.
• Troubleshoot and correct any issues with machinery.
• Maintain and oversee the servicing of all equipment and machinery
• Oversee base and precursor production and coordinate dosing with lab.
• Prep ingredients required for topical and edible products.
• Partner with the Assistant General Manager to create weekly schedules.
• Ensure and manage quality control process of all products.
• Assist with production work as needed.
• Complete production logs and GoCanvas logs as required.
• Maintain all cleaning and calibration logs.
• Maintain and oversee all temperature and humidity set points and logs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of ABCA Regulations.
• Address underperformance promptly and compassionately, in accordance with company policy.
• Retains and develops top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback.
• Provide feedback on SMART goals for Kitchen employees.
• Maintain active Food Safety Manager certification (ex. Servsafe)
• Other duties as assigned.
• All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• We asked that you have at least as a High School degree/GED preferred.
• We ask that you have a minimum of one (1) year of managerial experience.
