Job summary

White Lodging at JW Marriott Austin is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the Stewarding team in daily hotel operations. You will oversee dishware cleaning, pot and pan handling, and coordination with banquet and culinary teams for events.

Responsibilities include staff training on chemicals, PPE, and sanitation; inventory management; and consistent adherence to food safety standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
• High School degree or GED is preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign Stewarding tasks to ensure coverage and smooth hotel operations.
• Coordinate with the Executive Steward on recycling programs and staff education across outlets.
• Train Stewards on chemical handling, PPE, SDS, and safe storage of cleaning materials.
• Order supplies with the purchasing department and maintain daily/weekly inventory checks.
• Coordinate with banquet and culinary teams for plate up, equipment needs, and event support.
• Lead daily standups and ensure clear communication about daily operations and special projects.
