Job summary

Rivers Casino in Philadelphia is seeking a Stewarding Manager to oversee the stewarding department, ensuring sanitary conditions and compliance with health standards. You will supervise staff, coordinate with the Sous Chef, and maintain equipment care and inventory management.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven track record in kitchen operations. Flexibility with shifts and holidays is expected in this 24-hour operation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a working knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and team members.
• Must have successfully completed and maintain Serv-Safe (Food Sanitation Management) certification within 120 days of employment.
• Must be able to understand and communicate Material Safety Data Sheets to all team members.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Possesses complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job.
• Coordinates training of all team members and ensures guests are treated promptly and courteously.
• Direct supervision of all stewarding team members.
• Work with Sous Chef to ensure adequate supervision for stewards.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in food preparation and storage areas.
• Maintain inventories and rotation of kitchen products.
• Schedule employees according to business levels and budgets.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure safety and accident prevention in the department.
