Job summary

Brooklyn Brewery is seeking a Dishwasher to join our Kitchen team in Brooklyn. The role covers dish and steward duties across two active kitchens, prep and bars, with emphasis on cleanliness and organization to keep service moving.

Shifts vary by service, and one Dishwasher may be assigned per kitchen on peak days. Experience is preferred, with training provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 1 year of dishwashing or back-of-house experience preferred.
• Ability to work at a steady pace through long, high-volume services.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and detail.
• Ability to follow chemical and equipment safety guidelines.
• Reliability and punctuality including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation and warewashing of dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment according to standards.
• Operate and maintain dish machine and glass washer, including deliming and cleaning.
• Monitor wash temperatures and sanitizer concentrations during service.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely.
• Keep dish area clean, drained, and organized throughout shift.
• Wash beer glassware to beer-clean standards and air-dry properly.
• Support prep, pizza, and line teams by providing pans, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, receive stock, and rotate storage.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain BOH cleanliness including walk-ins and prep areas.
• Complete opening/closing dish checklists and report completion.
