Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavy pots and pans.
• Able to push/pull heavy carts in a busy kitchen.
• Comfortable working in loud environments and confined spaces.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation principles.
• Good listening skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate large dish machines when loading and unloading dishware.
• Scrape plates and utensils prior to washing.
• Scrub pots and pans at the pot sink.
• Sort pots, pans, dishes, glassware and utensils and restock into designated locations.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, coolers and freezers and trash areas.
• Empty trash and recyclables appropriately.
• May clean kitchen counters and walls.
• Polish items such as silverware.
• Monitor water cleanliness in pot sink and dish machines.
• Perform deep cleaning as scheduled or needed.
• Follow sanitation and HACCP procedures.
• Keep chemical storage areas neat and orderly.
• Maintain back dock area cleanliness and organization.
