Job summary

Blue Plate Catering in Chicago is seeking a Dishwasher to support kitchen operations, wash dishes, and maintain sanitary standards. The role involves handling pots and pans, cleaning duties, and assisting with event-related tasks.

Qualified candidates will have English proficiency and a CDPH Food Service certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Flexible hours include evenings and extended shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Completion of CDPH Certified Food Service certification preferred, or ability to complete within 30 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate pot sink and dishwashing machine per procedures.
• Clean, sort, and store items from events under supervision.
• Wash and sanitize pots and pans; place in proper storage area.
• Dispose of garbage; separate recyclables and compostables.
• Sweep and mop kitchen; reset floor mats and trash cans.
• Follow cleaning schedule set by Culinary Management.
• Report to work in proper uniform.
• Perform other relevant tasks as required.
