Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking a Part-Time Kitchen Steward for the White Sands Hotel in Honolulu, HI. You will maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, assist with dishwashing tasks, and support the culinary team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, waste disposal, restocking, and adhering to health and safety standards. Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen steward experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and safety standards in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing stations, and storage areas throughout the shift.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables according to established procedures and maintain waste areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and restock kitchen supplies as needed to support smooth operations.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen management team promptly.
• Collaborate with other kitchen and service team members to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
