Job summary

JACK Entertainment is seeking a Steward to support kitchen operations at our Cleveland area venue. The role entails loading and unloading dishwashers, cleaning kitchen areas, and upholding health and safety standards as part of the stewarding team.

You will prepare tableware, operate dishwashing machinery, and ensure proper storage of china and pots. The position requires strong physical stamina, the ability to work varied shifts, and a commitment to teamwork and service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods (4 hours).
• Must respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
• Must maneuver through all areas of the property via stairs or escalator.
• Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs and be able to push/pull/reach/bend.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares tableware for washing, scrapes plates and pre-soaks silver.
• Sets up dishwashing machine with correct temperatures and detergents.
• Washes dishes and stacks china in proper areas.
• Cleans dishwashing equipment and work areas thoroughly.
• Collects soiled pots and restocks cleaned pots on shelves.
• Removes garbage and refuse from the premises.
• Replace and remove fryer oil as needed.
• Mops and sweeps floors.
• Washes walls and ceiling tiles.
• Sanitizes cooking equipment.
• Adheres to health, safety and company policies.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
