Job summary

CookUnity in Seattle is seeking a Dishwasher/Steward to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment, ensuring readiness for daily operations. You will wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware; operate dishwashing machines; restock cleaning supplies; and assist with trash removal while following food safety guidelines.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to stand for long periods, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail in food handling and sanitation.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware, ensuring they are clean and sanitized.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and other work areas free from debris and residue.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment.
• Sort and store clean dishes and utensils in appropriate areas.
• Assist in the removal of trash and recycling to keep the kitchen clean.
• Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Restock cleaning supplies and ensure that all equipment is operational.
