Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher to maintain a clean, organized kitchen and support culinary and F&B teams. You will wash and store dishes, operate dishwashing equipment, manage waste, stock supplies, and ensure sanitation standards. The role offers training and opportunities to grow within Hyatt.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dish stations, storage rooms, walk-ins, and trash areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Remove trash and recycling and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies as needed.
• Support banquet and restaurant operations by maintaining adequate inventory of clean service ware.
• Clean kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and workstations as assigned.
• Report maintenance or sanitation concerns to management promptly.
• Work collaboratively with culinary and food and beverage teams to ensure smooth operations.
