Job Summary

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for non‑cooking activities such as dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and overall kitchen cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean kitchen work areas and food service equipment, sweep and mop floors, wash work tables and walls, and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
• Remove trash, clean trash cans, wash dishes by hand or in the dishwasher, and clean fryers and vents.
• Report maintenance needs for kitchen areas and ensure food service equipment is in proper working order.
• Stock and maintain cleanliness of the Team Member breakroom.
• Assist with stocking non‑alcoholic beverage stations.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Understanding of kitchen equipment and appliances for maintenance and cleaning.
• Basic knowledge of chemical usage and ability to meet OSHA regulations and health department standards.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high‑pressure situations in an interruptive environment.
• Wearing black non‑slip shoes required.

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: one year of food service work experience.
• Ability to complete any required classes or certifications.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.

Compensation Data

This position pays a competitive hourly rate of $15.00.

While performing the duties, you may be required to sit or stand, walk, use hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. You may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You may be required to circulate throughout the area assigned, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
