Job description

Scope: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishware, cookware, utensils, equipment, and dining room/kitchen areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a safety culture by following all SOPs, JSAs, Policies, and Procedures as set by Target Hospitality.
  2. Clean and maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas.
  3. Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dining areas.
  4. Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and equipment thoroughly.
  5. Assist in restocking coolers and displays in the dining room.
  6. Follow sanitation guidelines and safe operation procedures of Target Hospitality.
  7. Ensure proper levels of chemicals and cleaning agents in the dishwasher.
  8. Operate and sanitize a mechanical dishwasher.
  9. Follow HACCP guidelines for manual dishwashing procedures.
  10. Properly store clean dishes, flatware, cookware, and equipment.
  11. Assist in preparing the salad bar and sandwich stations.
  12. Wash and slice vegetables.
  13. Clean workstations.
  14. Assist in hot meal preparation.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service to exceed guest expectations.
  16. Attend safety meetings and participate in emergency response procedures.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand and squat for extended periods, with scheduled breaks.
  • Walk short and long distances.
  • Use stairs and step stools.
  • Pushing/pulling carts weighing approximately 50 lbs.
  • Work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
  • Operate kitchen machinery.
  • Frequently lift 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, with assistance if exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive wrist movements, grasping, and reaching in various directions.

Working Conditions Environment:

  • Hear and understand verbal instructions and alarms.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
  • Visual ability to read labels and inspect items.
  • Exposure to hot and cold environments.
  • Work on a rotational schedule (e.g., 6 weeks on, 2 off).
  • Navigate small, congested areas safely.
  • Periodically exposed to noise and surroundings.
  • Willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of dishwashing or equivalent experience, preferably in remote camps or hospitality industries.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Work effectively with or without supervision.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work long rotations.
  • Pass background check and urine analysis.
  • Own transportation to the facility.
