Join to apply for the Kitchen Staff role at Opaa! Food Management.

Position Summary:

Prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, participate in occasional catering functions, and perform all kitchen positions.

Essential Functions:

1. Assist with setting up serving lines daily, ensuring all food is at proper temperatures, and stock milk coolers.
2. Prepare foods according to menu plans and recipes, and plan ahead for upcoming menus.
3. Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
5. Manage inventory and practice FIFO procedures.
6. Handle dishwashing duties, including cleaning and maintaining equipment.
7. Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
8. Prepare baked goods and present them appealingly to customers.
9. Batch cook to ensure quality and presentation.
10. Set up and restock serving lines, serve food with proper utensils and sizes, and ensure presentation and hospitality.

Compliance:

1. Follow menu plans and recipes precisely.
2. Use standardized recipes to ensure consistency.
3. Recognize reimbursable meals and adhere to meal pattern regulations.
4. Maintain accurate production records and food safety logs.
5. Follow safety rules, report hazards, and participate in safety programs.
6. Attend meetings and complete training hours as required.
7. Promote Opaa!’s core values and comply with timekeeping policies.

Administrative duties include handling customer transactions, completing paperwork, submitting hours, and notifying supervisors of shift issues.

Physical and Working Conditions:

• Require standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, and exerting force over 60 pounds occasionally.
• Work may be indoors or outdoors, with exposure to noise, heat, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
