Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. You will support kitchen and facility operations by keeping areas clean, sanitized, and well organized during food production and service.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning tables and floors, restocking supplies, transporting items, and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility with shifts, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes by hand or in a dishwasher.
• Clean and sanitize work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using appropriate chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
