Job summary

Fire Dept. Cannabis is hiring an Edible Kitchen Production team member in Tigard, OR to prepare, bake, package and label cannabis-infused edibles such as cookies, rice crispy treats and gummies.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods; cannabis and OLCC card experience preferred but not required. We offer medical/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, and an employee discount.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Oregon Food Handler's card.
• Must have a valid Oregon Liquor Cannabis Commission (OLCC) card.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of baking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances without notice.
• Must understand and comply with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Preparing equipment and counter space to conduct tasks.
• Combining ingredients in a clean, thorough, and efficient manner.
• Recording completion or commencement of tasks per SOPs and state law.
• Cleaning the work area at day’s end.
• Packaging and labeling individual product units.

Fire Dept. Cannabis is a fast-growing Portland-based cannabis product line and production company that distributes to 300+ dispensaries across the State of Oregon. We produce a vast array of products, including edibles (cookies, rice crispy treats, gummies), kief, extracts, and a full line of pre-rolls (infused, single units, multipacks, hemp-wrapped blunts) with new products coming out regularly.

We are seeking an Edible Kitchen Production team member who will prepare, bake, package and label cannabis-infused edibles (cookies, rice crispy treats and gummies). This person should have attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and be able to stand for long periods of time.

Cannabis experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preparing equipment and counter space to conduct tasks;


• Combining ingredients in a clean, thorough, and efficient manner – sometimes with the use of a large stand mixer;


• Recording the completion or commencement of certain tasks, as specified by Fire Department's Standard Operating Procedures and state law;


• Cleaning the entire work area at the end of the day;


• Packaging and labeling individual product units, sometimes for long periods of time;


• Adapting to changes in processes or protocols, and following instructions from leads and supervisors, including with regard to Covid health protocols.
