Job summary

Dutchman Hospitality Group is seeking a Kitchen Prep team member to support daily restaurant operations by preparing ingredients and items according to recipes and standards. You will help keep the kitchen stocked, organized, and clean while maintaining food quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies and food items as required.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items by washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, measuring, and portioning as needed.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food preparation instructions.
• Prepare food items for use by cooks and other kitchen team members.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation using FIFO procedures.
• Monitor food quality and report any concerns to the kitchen supervisor or manager.
• Keep workstations, equipment, utensils, and preparation areas clean and sanitized.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries as needed.
• Maintain adequate supplies of prepared ingredients throughout the shift.
• Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning and dishwashing, when needed.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
