Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in meal preparation, maintain records, and support daily reporting. The role emphasizes high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety in a fast-paced environment.

The position involves preparing meals, maintaining storage, serving according to schedules, and following uniform and PPE requirements. Daily coordination with the manager is expected to plan menus and ensure proper temperatures and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
• Food Service Certificate as needed or required by site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and other items.
• Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Adhere to the uniform policy.
• Connect with the Manager daily to plan the menu for the day.
• Supervise the food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Scrub and polish counters, sanitize steam tables and other equipment.
• Follow established procedures for cleanliness; sweeping, mopping, ware washing.
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen.
• May involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking or standing; PPE may be required.
