Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, policies and procedures.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and desserts.
• Add garnishments to improve appearance and appeal.
• Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Follow the uniform policy.
• Communicate with the Manager daily to plan the menu for the day.
• Monitor food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Clean and sanitize counters and steam tables.
• Follow procedures for cleanliness and safety; sweeping, mopping, ware washing.
• Maintain garbage collection sites and kitchen floors neatly.
• Perform other duties as assigned including other kitchen areas.
