Job summary

PCC Community Markets is seeking Central Kitchen Helper Clerks to perform basic food preparation, packaging and labeling of commissary items, and to label, assemble and check invoices for outgoing orders. This on-site role stays in Madison Valley, Seattle, with production duties, sanitation, and customer service as needed.

Ideal candidates work well in a busy kitchen, can handle varied shifts (including weekends), meet physical requirements (10–40 lbs), and hold a Washington Food Worker Card.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• Able to work independently and be accountable to the commissary team.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Basic math skills for measurement and packaging functions.
• Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Must meet physical requirements including standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs on a regular basis.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Labels, assembles and checks invoices for outgoing central kitchen orders.
• Production duties including, but not limited to portioning and packaging product, assembling pizzas and pucking cookies.
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Follows department merchandising standards and procedures.
• Provides excellent, professional customer service when needed.
