Job summary

Commonpoint Queens is hiring a dishwasher and kitchen prep within The Kitchen to support multiple programs. The role operates dish machines and assists with washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients, keeping the kitchen clean and safe in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reporting to the Culinary Operations Director, you will work with cooks and staff to maintain

Qualifications

• Team player who follows directions.
• Ability to stand long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in dishwashing or kitchen is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, and utensils.
• Prep kitchen ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning items.
• Maintain clean and organized dish station and prep areas throughout the shift.
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries and supplies.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards per HACCP/ServSafe guidelines.
• Collaborate with cooks and other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
