Job summary

Prime Independent Living in West Knoxville is seeking dependable Kitchen Porters / Dishwashers to support our culinary operations for residents and guests. You will wash and sanitize dishes, keep a clean, organized dishwashing area, and assist with basic food prep as part of a collaborative kitchen team.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities. A Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized dishwashing area to support efficient kitchen operations.
• Help keep dishes, utensils, and equipment readily available for the culinary team.
• Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
• Support receiving, organizing, and properly storing kitchen deliveries.
