Kitchen Porter

Salary: £13.68including holiday payper hour

Location:Lyndhurst, Hampshire

Job Type:Casual contract

About the Role

The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen operations. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment and assisting the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks. The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times
  • Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing salads
  • Stocking and rotating supplies in the kitchen
  • Managing waste and recycling including keeping waste storage areas clean and tidy.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the catering and hospitality industry
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Basic food preparation skills
