KITCHEN PLACE/LEAD CLERK (Finance)



Plan, order, and organize merchandise. Train, coach, and direct all associates within the Kitchen Place Department. Perform production and customer service functions to maximize store sales and profits. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Understand key components of department operations.
  • Ability to promote, communicate, and implement company initiatives positively.
  • Ability to manage people and organize workloads.
  • Make quick, informed decisions.
  • Handle stressful situations tactfully and calmly, leaving a positive impression.
  • Effective in production, merchandising, and customer service related to merchandise sales.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Qualified to operate power machinery and work with various tools.

Desired qualifications:

  • Grocery retail experience.
  • Dependability and integrity reflected in past work records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building sales and profits of assigned Kitchen sections.
  • Maintaining proper inventory levels.
  • Pricing and displaying merchandise.
  • Merchandising end caps, power wings, and promotional displays.
  • Maintaining signage, tags, and planograms.
  • Responding appropriately to customer or associate comments, complaints, and requests.
  • Using the Magic System for ordering and inventory management.
  • Coaching and training associates on merchandising and customer service.
  • Implementing company programs and adhering to policies, especially safety and sanitation.
  • Maintaining equipment and facilities properly and safely.
  • Keeping areas clean and sanitary.
  • Executing the Marketplace Sales Plan fully.
  • Staying updated on planogram revisions and communication.
  • Supervising and coaching direct reports, conducting performance reviews.
  • Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range: $22.37 per hour.
