Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned food service management company that prepares meals from scratch for K-12 schools, corporate dining, and other venues. The kitchen supervisor will lead a team, ensure USDA compliance, follow recipes, and manage cost controls while maintaining food quality.

The position offers guaranteed hours with no nights or weekends, daily free lunch, uniforms, PPE, and opportunities for advancement within a culture of inclusion and belonging at the Montevideo, Minnesota location.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Able to follow spoken and written directions
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to follow all safe food handling requirements
• Successfully pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Ensure USDA regulations are followed
• Ensure meals are correctly prepared and meet quality standards
• Manage ordering, receiving, storing, and inventory control of perishables with HACCP
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork
• Control waste and manage costs to budget
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe kitchen environment; establish cost goals; conduct cost analysis
• Follow standardized recipes and monitor product/menu costs
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
