Job summary

Din Tai Fung North America is seeking a Kitchen Manager II in Costa Mesa, CA. You will oversee the Wok, Noodle, and Expo lines, ensure food quality, lead line cooks, and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager I to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role emphasizes team development, inventory control, and adherence to kitchen standards, with opportunities for growth and internal promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years culinary experience in casual or upscale casual dining.
• 1+ years of culinary lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
• Comfortable with being exposed to hot and cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach team members on kitchen brand standards, culinary techniques, and service timing expectations.
• Communicate operational updates and changes to Wok, Noodle, and Expo teams.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Kitchen Manager to ensure BOH communication is consistent.
• Ensure daily kitchen tasks are executed through line checks, station cleanliness, and quality audits.
• Validate staffing and assignments across Wok, Noodle, and Expo lines; coach performance.
• Participate in interviews and onboarding of new kitchen staff.
