Job summary

Enerbase Cooperative Resources is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager for our convenience store kitchens. The role oversees day-to-day kitchen operations, ensures health and safety compliance, and maintains inventory and equipment.

You will lead a small team and coordinate with management on menus and service standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong kitchen management experience, proficiency in inventory control, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

• FT Schedule will include working every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of C-store kitchen staff, including recruitment and hiring, orientation and training, performance review and scheduling.
• Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and fire department regulations and food handling standards.
• Oversees daily food preparation, including cooking, assembly, and plating; can perform duties of all kitchen positions.
• Manage food inventory levels through efficient ordering and proper storage temperatures; prevent cross contamination and food waste.
• Collaborate with management to create and modify menus that are appealing and profitable.
• Address customer concerns related to food quality and service.
• Enforce proper cleaning procedures to maintain a sanitary kitchen and workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Store Manager.

As a Convenience Store Kitchen Manager at Enerbase, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers.

The Convenience Store Kitchen Manager’s responsibilities involve supervision of kitchen staff through oversight of day-to-day operations of the kitchen to ensure the execution of all employee duties. This position also monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policy, cleanliness and organization, maintenance of inventory and equipment, and other duties as assigned by management. The ideal candidate will have the experience and ability to maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. Daily supervision of C-store kitchen staff, including recruitment and hiring, orientation and training, performance review and scheduling.
• 2. Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and fire department regulations. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local food handling requirements and standards.
• 3. Oversees daily food preparation process, including cooking, assembly and plating. Completes duties of line cook when needed, and is capable of performing duties of all kitchen positions.
• 4. Manage food inventory levels through efficient ordering of supplies. Ensure products are stored at correct temperatures for quality control. Implements procedures to prevent cross contamination, timely use of perishables and limitation of food waste.
• 5. Collaborate with management to create and modify menus that are appealing, profitable and meet customer needs. Continuously learn and implement new techniques and strategies to improve food quality and efficiency.
• 6. Address customer concerns related to food quality and service.
• 7. Implements and enforces proper cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure a sanitary and organized kitchen and workspace.
• 8. Performs other duties as requested by the Operations Manager or Store Manager as needed for the success of the department.
