Job summary

Bluestem Communities is seeking a Kitchen Manager at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton, KS. This full-time role leads daily kitchen operations, ensures safe, nutritious meals, and drives resident-focused dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
• Must have an understanding of therapeutic diets and nutrition guidelines.
• Must have knowledge of HACCP principles and sanitation regulations.
• Must have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Prefer 2 years of culinary, dietary, or hospitality training.
• Prefer 1 year of food-service management experience including supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and staff.
• Ensure meals follow menus, standardized recipes, portion controls, and dietary requirements.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food handling procedures.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, freshness, and temperature.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with dietitians and clinical teams; support care plans.
