Job summary

Bluestem Communities is seeking a full-time Cook at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton, KS. Your duties include reading recipes, preparing and serving daily meals according to dietary needs, and ensuring proper food temperature and storage.

Hours are 6:00am – 2:00pm, with weekend and holiday shifts as needed. The benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off and six holidays, meal discounts, and other wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Prefer 1+ year culinary training or equivalent cooking experience.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Read menus/recipes and prepare meals according to dietary needs.
• Ensure food is stored, cooled, and heated to proper temperatures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment.
• Assist with inventory and portion control as needed.
