Cattlemens in Livermore, CA is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house team, ensure high-quality food, and drive profitability through strong culinary leadership and efficient systems. You will partner with the General Manager, manage purchasing, inventory, and cost controls, mentor staff, and uphold our Western Hospitality culture while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This role offers a $74,000-$85,000 salary, a $5,000 signing bonus, relocation assistance may be available,

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Strong culinary skills with focus on quality and safety.
• Excellent scheduling, training, and team development abilities.
• Experience with inventory, purchasing, and cost management.
• Collaborative work with front-of-house leadership.
• Positive, task-oriented attitude aligned with Western Hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to meet quality and safety standards.
• Partner with General Manager for organized, profitable kitchen operations.
• Oversee food prep, recipe adherence, portion control, and plating.
• Manage purchasing, receiving, and inventory of food and supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Implement preventative maintenance to reduce costs.
• Support banquets and events with consistent execution.
• Maintain food cost, labor, and waste in line with standards.
• Hands-on leadership in culinary execution when needed.
