Kalapawai Cafe and Deli Waimanalo is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our management team. The candidate should enjoy the kitchen lifestyle, creating tasty specials, and running a busy kitchen with a positive, collaborative attitude. This role is 36-40 hours per week with overtime as needed.

Pay is $21-$25 per hour plus average tips of $4-$7 per hour. We operate 7 days a week from 6am-8pm, with weekend and holiday scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid food handlers card.
• Experience cutting meat and fish.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Availability mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong organization and punctuality.
• Ability to work well in a team in a high tempo environment.
• Valid TB test and Food Safety Certification.

Responsabilités

• Work with restaurant and FOH management during service and events.
• Line cooking and line restocking/cleaning.
• Check in and put away deliveries; inventory control.
• Ordering and portion/quality control.
• Ensure high-quality customer experience and resolve complaints.
• Personnel management and conflict resolution.
• General cleaning and facilities maintenance.
• Organize prep, cleaning, and duty lists.

Kalapawai Cafe and Deli Waimanalo is looking to hire an experienced Kitchen manager to join our management team. We are looking for someone who enjoys the kitchen lifestyle, enjoys creating tasty specials, and running a busy kitchen. Someone ready and willing to work with a positive and collaborative attitude.

36-40 hrs. per week. + OT (If needed).

$21-$25/hr. + Tips (avg. $4 - $7 more per hour)

We are open 7 days a week from 6am - 8pm. Working on weekends and holidays will be needed as the schedule dictates.
