Job summary

Bubba’s 33 in Texas is hiring a Kitchen Manager to oversee all Back of House operations, including purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting food according to recipes and procedures.

You will supervise production, enforce safety and cleanliness, manage schedules, coach staff, and drive cost controls while delivering quality and speed. We offer a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days and opportunities for advancement in a fun, community‑minded culture.

Qualifications

• Oversee Back of House operations, including purchasing, receiving, preparing and presenting food according to recipes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with employment policies, restaurant cleanliness and guest safety at all times.
• Direct productivity and monitor ticket times to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Manage Back of House staff, including evaluations, coaching and discipline.
• Develop key employees through daily feedback and performance reviews.
• Conduct line Taste & Temp checks and oversee inventory, safety and proper storage.
• Manage food costs, waste tracking and kitchen labor costs.
• Assign tasks, set hours and schedule shifts around restaurant hours.
• Train staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring Back of House employees.
• Foster a safe, fun, and clean work environment aligned with core values.

Responsibilities

• Managing performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
• Assisting with the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
• Conducting formal line Taste & Temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
• Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
• Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
• Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
• Directing work for Back of House employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during and after open hours of the restaurant
• Training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
• Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or making recommendation to hire Back of House employees
• Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals
