Job summary

Grassroots Holdings LLC is seeking a deli/cafe lead to supervise daily operations and set a professional example for staff.

You will train the team, prepare sandwiches and cafe items, minimize waste, and maintain strong customer relations while coordinating with service staff and management. Weekend work and some holidays are required; ServSafe is a plus; pay depends on experience, with bonuses based on longevity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in deli or cafe operations.
• Ability to lead and train staff.
• Familiarity with health code guidelines.

Maintain an environment of professionalism and exceptional customer service. Exhibit leadership for other workers, acting as a strong example for how they should work. Ensure smooth day-to-day operation and hold a notable presence among both staff and management; both listening to feedback and suggestions of staff, while also presenting personal suggestions. Help ensure adequate supplies are available for all staff to do their jobs effectively. Uphold all standard operating procedures, and hold staff accountable.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and continue to trainour team.
• Cooking and presenting our sandwiches, soups & specials, while maintaining consistency with our standards and following all health code guidelines.
• Minimizing waste, helping control food costs.
• Maintaining positive customer relations, getting to know our regulars.
• Maintain communication with service staff and management, ensuring seamless service and exceeding guest expectations.

40 hours a weekly, 1+ years experience required.Available weekend days and some holidays. ServSafe is a plus. Must be a team player and experience in a deli of cafe environment is a plus! Pay depends on experience.Bonuses and other perks will become available based on your longevity with our organization.
