Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader in Newington, CT. You will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders.

The Kitchen Leader helps ensure quality and safety, keeps the kitchen clean and stocked, and maintains equipment. You’ll promote teamwork and deliver a great customer experience while on the clock.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and restaurant experience.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Follow kitchen procedures to cook and prep food to order.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well stocked.
• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment as needed; address malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO tasks as required.
