Position Description
As a Kitchen Leader, you will oversee kitchen staff to meet daily goals and tasks, ensuring guest satisfaction and a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with the Kitchen Manager to keep expenses within budget and suggest operational improvements.
- Keep General Manager/Kitchen Manager informed of issues and propose solutions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor food temperatures to prevent foodborne illnesses.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Coordinate with vendors for supplies and equipment.
- Conduct kitchen walk-throughs and temperature checks.
- Assist in ordering and receiving supplies, and oversee stocking.
- Perform all kitchen functions and assist as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service, taught in-house.
- Clear communication skills.
Physical Requirements / Environment / Work Conditions:
- High mobility and flexibility.
- Ability to work irregular hours under stress during peak times.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate activities.
- High coordination skills.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Navigate through openings at least 30” wide.
- Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
