Hometown Coffee & Juice in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Back of House Lead to guide the kitchen team, ensure high-quality food, and uphold safety and efficiency during prep and service. You’ll lead by example, mentor teammates, and keep operations smooth through peak hours.

The role opens in November 2026 with a path to grow into a stronger culinary leader while supporting a positive team culture and outstanding guest experiences at our new Northbrook cafe.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of kitchen leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, safety, and standards.
• ServSafe certification preferred or obtainable upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen execution during prep and service, ensuring speed and quality.
• Train, onboard, and coach kitchen staff to uphold standards.
• Maintain food safety, labeling, sanitation, and organization.
• Monitor inventory, assist with receiving, storing, and rotation.
• Collaborate with FOH leadership to support great guest experiences.
