Job summary

Eurest is hiring a full-time Chef for a location at Applied Materials in Austin, TX. The role requires at least 2 years of restaurant/cooking experience, with catering background preferred. The position operates Monday–Friday, morning shift, with pay ranging from $21.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Internal referrals are encouraged and benefits are offered. Direct supervision of kitchen staff and hands-on cooking responsibilities are expected, with emphasis on food quality, sanitation and service

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of restaurant/cooking experience.
• Catering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and evaluates the kitchen, food production and food-service associates.
• Supervises cooks and hourly kitchen staff, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training and reviews.
• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Ensures proper presentation, quality, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Tracks food use, waste and inventory; inspects product and supplies for quality and quantity.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and workstation; supports recipe and menu development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
