Job summary

The Salvation Army’s Camp Ponderosa in Heber, Arizona, seeks reliable kitchen and dining staff to greet guests, keep the dining area clean, and assist with food service tasks. You will support Conifer Café operations and help create a welcoming, well‑run dining environment.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 2–3 years in a kitchen or dining setting, ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to safety and cleanliness. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, are expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet dining guests with a joyful demeanor.
• Keep the dining area clean, clutter-free, and welcoming.
• Assist with assigned food service preparation.
• Assist in the Conifer Café as scheduled.
• Complete tasks that enhance Ponderosa’s food service experience.
• Communicate stocking and inventory needs and assist with procedures.
• Wash and store dishes, pots, and pans as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing and food prep areas.
• Reset and restock the dining hall as assigned.
• Switch dining hall and kitchen between groups as assigned.
• Ensure tasks are completed promptly.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming.
