Job summary

Metro Fire + Security in Las Vegas is seeking a Kitchen Hood Suppression System Technician to inspect, install, and service fire kitchen hood systems for commercial kitchens across Southern Nevada. You will perform on-site troubleshooting, document repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a valid E Card, 2+ years of relevant experience, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and familiarity with NFPA codes. Certifications in related suppression systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Authorized to work in the USA
• 2+ years of prior, relevant work experience
• E Card
• High School Diploma/ GED
• Able to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights and weekends
• Able to lift and move tools and equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
• Knowledge of NFPA code and non-conformance issues
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Able to work independently, with little supervision
• Organized, systematic, and adherent to deadlines
• Able to travel to multiple job sites each day
• Certifications in Ansul, Pyro Chem, Range Guard, Buckeye, and Piranha suppression systems

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, service and repairs on special hazards fire suppression systems
• Service and install various manufacturers’ special hazard systems
• Read and understand project documentation and work orders
• Consult with customers regarding safety issues
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure satisfaction
• Partner with sales to grow service business
• Produce legible, accurate inspection and repair reports
• Invoice paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Maintain accurate truck inventory
• Train and coach new hires
• Stay current with code requirements and industry changes
• Attend required training courses
• Perform other related duties as assigned
