Job summary

Clinton Public Schools is seeking a Kitchen Helper to support daily food service operations in Clinton, MA. The role requires assisting with all kitchen tasks, handling cash at the register, serving food safely, and maintaining cleanliness across the kitchen and related equipment.

Schedule is 9:00-1:00, Monday through Friday, for 180 school-year days. Citizenship or work eligibility required; prior experience preferred. Not a benefitted position.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 6 hours daily.

Job Description

• -Must be able to do all kitchen jobs regardless of daily assignment (pitch in where needed).
• -Ability to easily switch tasks when required.
• -Operate register and handle money.
• -Serve/safely handle food.
• -Ability to use oven in all aspects of kitchen use.
• -Know how to safely operate all kitchen equipment including, but not limited to: oven, dishwasher, slicer, mixer, etc.
• -Fill in at other schools when needed.
• -Safely use chemicals.
• -Clean kitchen equipment daily, as instructed, including, but not limited to: sinks, dishwasher, washer, floors, etc.
• -Lift up to 50 lbs.
• -Wash and sanitize dishes in large capacity.
• -Be on feet for up to 6 hours daily.
• -Ability to carry out repetitive movements.
• -Ability to take and follow directions as told.

Will be required to pass CORI, Fingerprinting and Physical.
