Job summary

Fireside Catering LLC is seeking a Kitchen Help to support the Charge Chef at a variety of events. You will assist in assembling hors d’oeuvres, building salads, plating entrées, and more, learning kitchen operations in a busy catering environment.

The role focuses on learning culinary skills, with training provided. You will join a great team, have opportunities for growth, and enjoy perks aimed at supporting your development and cooking passion.

Qualifications

• Availability to work evenings, weekends as needed
• Reliable transportation to events
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs
• Desire to cultivate culinary skills; learn proper knife skills, cooking, etc.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen Help coordinates with other staff to ensure that all elements of the event, including setup, serving, and cleanup, are executed flawlessly
• Learn and apply food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items
• Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly

As Kitchen Help, at Fireside Catering, you will follow the directive of the Charge Chef and assist in preparing and serving delicious menu items for a wide variety of events. This includes assembly of hors ’d oeuvres, building of salads, entrée plating and more.
