Job summary

Fireside Catering LLP is seeking a Kitchen Help to support our Charge Chef in preparing and serving menu items for a variety of events. You will learn kitchen operations, assist with hors d'oeuvres, salads, and entrée plating, and work with a great team to ensure high-quality service.

The ideal candidate has a passion for cooking, a willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail. This role offers evening/night shifts, on-site work, and opportunities for growth within the catering group.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Evenings and weekends availability required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with staff to ensure event setup, service, and cleanup are flawless.
• Learn and apply food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen area with proper labeling of all food items.
• Minimize and dispose of food waste properly.

The Position:

As Kitchen Help, at Fireside Catering, you will follow the directive of the Charge Chef and assist in preparing and serving delicious menu items for a wide variety of events. This includes assembly of hors ’d oeuvres, building of salads, entrée plating and more. The Responsibilities:

• Kitchen help coordinate with other staff members to ensure that all elements of the event, including setup, serving, and cleanup, are executed flawlessly
• Learn and apply food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items
• Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly

The Requirements:

• Availability to work evenings, weekends as needed
• Reliable transportation to get to events
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs
• Desire to cultivate your culinary skills; learn proper knife skills, cooking, etc.
