Job summary

Silco Fire & Security is seeking a Kitchen Suppression Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will learn state certifications through our comprehensive training program.

You will perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation while upholding safety standards. A take-home van and fuel card are provided, plus a strong benefits package and weekly bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

Technical and mechanical knowledge with various hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specs.
Familiarity with kitchen suppression systems (wet/dry/pre-engineered) preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Clear communication and customer service orientation.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Company hires and trains capable individuals with no prior experience.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test kitchen suppression systems to ensure proper function and compliance.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on kitchen suppression systems, including related equipment.
Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, maintenance, and repairs.
Communicate technical information effectively to customers and address questions or concerns.
Adhere to all codes, standards, and safety regulations; participate in required state certifications.
