Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker at Tuskegee University to support kitchen and facility operations. The role focuses on cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas, including handling equipment and supplies and assisting with setup and break-down tasks.

Open shifts and full-time hours apply. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic sanitation knowledge, and willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with regularity.
