Job summary

At Sodexo, a Utility Worker on the University of Hawaii Manoa campus supports kitchen and facility operations by keeping production and service areas clean and organized. You will clean equipment, surfaces, floors, and storage spaces, transport supplies, and assist with basic setup and breakdown tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with approved sanitizing chemicals.
• Restocks supplies like soap and paper towels.
• Attends scheduled shifts on time with regularity.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
