Job summary

Sodexo at COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES is seeking a Utility Worker to support kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas. You will clean equipment, floors, walls, and storage spaces, restock supplies, and assist with setup and breakdown as directed.

The role offers varying shifts, full-time or part-time, with a pay range of $19–$21.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic food safety concepts.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with appropriate chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Re-stocks supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Walks or stands for extended periods; may exceed 8 hours per shift.
• Lifts up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
