Job summary

Village Inn in Colorado Springs is seeking an Expeditor to ensure quality and timely presentation of dishes. You will direct servers and food runners to assemble orders and maintain a stocked, clean line aligned with recipes and safety standards.

Key duties include monitoring timeliness, pace, and plating, maintaining organization, stocking supplies before peak periods, and collaborating with kitchen staff to uphold high standards of service.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Timeliness- Ensures kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders
• Pace- Brisk and steady, organized, no unnecessary steps
• Recipe Adherence -- Ensures proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature
• Cleanliness -- Maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a "like new" condition. Practice clean as you go!
• Productivity -- Your productivity is measured, not only by the quality of what you do, but by the quantity of work you complete in a specific time period
• Organization skills are a must
• Think ahead -- Stock supplies before the rush
