Job summary

San Luis Resort, Spa and Conference Center in Galveston, TX seeks a Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing and restocking dishes, utensils, cookware, and other equipment to uphold high food safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced setting, support sanitation procedures, stock supplies, and assist in keeping the dishwashing area organized and hygienic. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen cookware efficiently and promptly, following established procedures and standards
• Monitor and maintain the sanitizing standards of all dishwashing equipment including water changes and temperature checks
• Stock and use all cleaning supplies as intended
• Empty and clean trash cans, and ensure proper trash can placement
• Assist with the organization and stocking of clean dishes, utensils, and cookware as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping, squeegeeing, mopping, and emptying trash as needed
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and disposal of waste, and assist in maintaining kitchen hygiene standards
