Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in New York City is seeking a team member to perform dishwashing duties, maintain a clean kitchen, and support a positive store image. You will wash dishes, stock, and assist with kitchen organization while upholding health and safety standards.

Requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. No prior retail experience is required; training is provided and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; equipment maintenance per WFM standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing; reports safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
