Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a PM Kitchen Helper to help create a great dining experience for residents. You will prepare, stock, and maintain a fresh salad bar to start meals on a positive note, support residents with friendly service, keep tables clean, and help keep our community safe by washing and sanitizing tableware and equipment.

No prior culinary experience is required; you must be 18+, able to work Tue-Sat 11:30am–8:00pm, read English, and obtain food handler permits

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• No previous culinary experience required.
• Able to obtain food handler permits within first two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine: load, run, unload, report issues and monitor water temperatures for sanitization.
• Wash, store, and handle all tableware and kitchenware; keep dish room organized and stocked.
• Assist in the dining room by bussing tables, filling water carafes, and delivering room-service orders.
• Safely use ovens, steamers, grills and kitchen tools; handle sharp utensils and small appliances.
• Answer food comments or complaints politely and report concerns to leadership.
• Perform support tasks including trash removal and other duties as assigned.
