Job summary

Atria Senior Living - Patchogue is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain the kitchen and dining areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. You will wash, clean, sanitize, and store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment, supporting a friendly, restaurant-style dining atmosphere.

You will work closely with the Director of Culinary Services to ensure residents are satisfied with food and dining programs, adhere to cleaning schedules, and assist with event preparation

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and dining areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Wash, clean, sanitize and store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.
• Promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere and provide high level of customer service.
• Work with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
• Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
